The Malay Warriors

This picture shows warriors from the Malay Kingdom of Pattani during Rama V's reign. The history of the Malays are full of stories of struggle and sacrifice for their country and for the preservation way of their life from invaders and colonizers. . The Malays thus, must preserve their culture and identity to survive. The warriors' blood now flows in our veins...we must continue the fight, with our new knowledge and intellect.

Writing this blog is my way continuing the preservation of my culture and the Malay identity.

(I believe the warriors who who are with the Keris are officers, as the Keris shows a higher status of the wearer)
